The Taiwan Gazette is a platform supervised by the Global Taiwan Studies Initiative housed at the Asian Institute, Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, University of Toronto. We are committed to translating and publishing original reporting from Taiwan, Hong Kong and China. We plan to bring you translated works from Taiwan’s most popular Chinese-language new media websites, including The Reporter (報導者), Initium Media (端傳媒), StoryStudio (故事), and more. We also cover important Taiwan-related events happening on campus by tapping into the University of Toronto’s active research network. Our goal is simple: we translate stories that connect.

We are always looking for volunteer translators to help us bring the best in journalism from the Sinosphere to an international audience. Whether you are a translator by profession, a storyteller at heart, or you simply want to practice translating Chinese into English, we’d love to have you join our team!

Please fill in the form below, or drop us a line at taiwangazette@gmail.com.
